No need to head to a store for your T-shirt needs—you can now get your clothes from a vending machine. This week, Uniqlo launched "Uniqlo To Go," a vending machine stocked with pieces from the brand's LifeWear line. The first one launched in the Oakland airport, and the brand is rolling out in 10 locations in airports and malls.

The Japanese brand is known best for its simple, well-priced basics, so it seems like a vending machine structure could work well for the brand; it's putting a familiar brand in an optimal place to sell. And it's not the only brand trying to restructure how to sell clothes to consumers: Different platforms for selling, namely subscription box services, are how the fashion industry is reacting to a downshift in mall shopping. It'll be interesting to see how the vending machine plan plays out. For now, just know that you don't have to worry if you realize you underpacked one you reach the airport.
