Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Financials, Consumer Services and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 gained 2.00%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which rose 6.28% or 0.0153 points to trade at 0.2588 at the close. Meanwhile, Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) added 3.61% or 0.0120 points to end at 0.3440 and Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) was up 3.54% or 0.1870 points to 5.4690 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA), which fell 0.80% or 0.100 points to trade at 12.435 at the close. EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR) declined 0.38% or 0.0260 points to end at 6.8680 and Novabase SGPS (LS:NBA) was up 0.16% or 0.005 points to 3.200.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 27 to 10 and 6 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for September delivery was up 1.26% or 0.60 to $48.34 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 1.19% or 0.54 to hit $46.03 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.18% or 2.16 to trade at $1216.94 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.24% to 1.1385, while EUR/GBP fell 0.54% to 0.8810.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 95.66.
