Travel and Leisure names the World's Best Hotel of 2017

Feast your eyes on the "best hotel in the world." And yes, these rooms have a view. An insane view!

Indonesia's Nihi Sumba Island (formerly Nihiwatu) is no stranger to such high praise. It's the second year in a row the luxury hotel has topped Travel and Leisure's annual World's Best list.

See the top 10 below:

One hundred of the world's top spots were ranked by the magazine's readers who rated hotel experiences across 86 categories. The scores were then averaged, and the Indonesian hotel got a near-perfect score.

All of the rooms have private pools, and the setting is jaw-dropping. And speaking of experiences, there's world-class surfing, spa sessions, horseback riding and fishing.

The hotel is also known for its close ties to the community. Nearly all of the staff comes from the island, according to Travel and Leisure, and a foundation partly funded by hotel profits helps with local projects.
