We hate to admit it, but it's the last month of the summer—and you can tell. Sneaker releases have slowed down a bit, meaning you really have to look hard if you want to find something new and exciting. But there's no need to hurt yourself, we've done the work for you. Nike's the heavy hitter this week, bringing in a duo of Air VaporMaxes, each marketed to a different consumer. Reebok is dropping no fewer than a half dozen of one of our favorite classic silhouette. There's a trio of Air Max 97s we couldn't be more excited about. Plus we found two tech basketball sneakers that are worth considering for casual wear—they're that cool. There's still time to get fresh before the rain and rot of fall sets in. Take advantage!

Reebok Club C 'Overbranded'

Footwear, White, Shoe, Black, Sneakers, Walking shoe, Grey, Outdoor shoe, Athletic shoe, Silver,

Even though it gets less attention than some of its more famous sneaker siblings, Reebok's Club C is one of the brand's best. It's a low silhouette with dynamic paneling and branding that isn't too busy. But this week Reebok is jumping in with both feet with its "Overbranded" collection. The star of the collection takes the name to heart by utilizing leather with an all-over branded print. From afar, the concentration of branding offers the shoe an abstract pattern that snaps into a comment on brand identity up close.

Reebok Club C 'Overbranded Pack'

Footwear, Shoe, Carmine, Outdoor shoe, Athletic shoe, Sneakers, Walking shoe, Running shoe, Plimsoll shoe,

In addition to the single, all-over printed Club C, Reebok is releasing no fewer than five different colorways featuring solid leather uppers. The all-over pattern appears on the lining and medial sole. Each colorway offers a classic look that would fit into any closet, but the little extra branding on the sole adds just a hint of extra interest.

Nike Air VaporMax 'Exploration Pack'

Shoe, Footwear, Running shoe, Outdoor shoe, White, Black, Hiking shoe, Cross training shoe, Sportswear, Walking shoe,

You already know we're big fans of Nike's Air VaporMax over here, and the only thing that could make the shoes better is a little bit of bling. These "Exploration Pack" VaporMaxes feature a heathered navy upper, but the star of the shoe is the metallic bronze swoosh across the quarter: It gives a well-placed sparkle on the otherwise subdued shoe. This is a great way to get in a little bit more of a good thing.

If you've been looking for an opportunity to jump on the VaporMax train, there's no better colorway to start with than this pair of Cool Grays. This color is the absolute definition of neutral, meaning that the shoe will fit with whatever you want to wear with it and be in style for any situation. We're a fan of the sneaker because it's versatile, comfortable, and one of the most technologically advanced pieces of sportswear on the market. Nike SB Zoom Dunk High Elite

Blue, Product, Shoe, Red, White, Sportswear, Athletic shoe, Light, Sneakers, Logo,

Nike's Zoom Dunk High Elite combines the best skate sneaker technology with the classic look of the Dunk, making for a shoe that's as progressive as it is nostalgic. This red-and-navy colorway is reminiscent of the Chicago colorways sneaker culture has obsessed over since Michael Jordan was on the basketball court, but brings that scheme into a different sport. The sock keeps the shoe in place and makes for an unexpected athletic look.

Nike React Hyperdunk 2017 Low 'Tale of Two Cities'

Shoe, Footwear, Outdoor shoe, Sneakers, Orange, Brown, Running shoe, Basketball shoe, Walking shoe, Sportswear,

Technical basketball shoes aren't normally our thing, but when they're as dope as this colorway of the React Hyperdrunk 2017, they're worth checking out. From a distance the sneaker is a riot of colors: The sublimated print on the upper plays with oranges and reds against black, while a green swoosh and blue lining fill out the rest of the rainbow. But if you look closer you'll see the print tells a visual story of the diversity that makes Los Angeles sometimes feel like it's many distinct cities in one.

Nike Air Max 97 Premium

Shoe, Footwear, Outdoor shoe, Running shoe, White, Walking shoe, Sneakers, Product, Athletic shoe, Cross training shoe,

We're super pumped about the trio of Air Max 97s that are popping up this weekend. The sneaker has been beloved by collectors for two decades, but it's only the last year or so that it's become a trend—and we're glad it has. Thanks to increased interest, we get more color variety that plays on aesthetics we don't normally get to see. Out of the three releasing this weekend, our favorite is the "Particle Beige," which is Nike speak for "the awesome pink pair."

Air Jordan V 'White/University Red'

Shoe, Footwear, Outdoor shoe, White, Black, Walking shoe, Running shoe, Sneakers, Product, Basketball shoe,

Every new Jordan sneaker is a development of the one that came before it, and sometimes the evolution is obvious. The parallels between the Jordan IV and V are clear, but this week Jordan Brand is making a statement by highlighting the heritage even more. This "White / University Red" pair takes the original colors from the debut colorway of the Air Jordan IV and applies them to the V. It's almost a retrofitted passing of the torch, but done in a very wearable way.

Adidas Originals Crazy 1 ADV

Shoe, Footwear, White, Sneakers, Walking shoe, Product, Outdoor shoe, Plimsoll shoe, Grey, Sportswear,

Adidas' Crazy 1 ADV is impressive as a piece of art. These are the shoes that 1990 pop culture told us we would be wearing in 2020, and thank god Adidas has them ready to go. Yes, they're a technical basketball shoe created to maximize performance for players on the court, but the simplicity, textures, and material layering offer a sophisticated vision for the future of footwear and we're excited to witness it.
