Jay-Z Opens Up About Saving His Marriage With Beyoncé After Cheating Scandal

"I'm not saying it wasn't uncomfortable because obviously it was."

But because we're dealing with artists, Beyoncé and Jay-Z figured the best way to shed some light on their issues would be through song.

So, two years later, Bey released Lemonade, featuring songs about betrayal and growth...

...which prompted fans to get in formation and find out the secret identity of "Becky with the good hair."

Then Jay-Z dropped 4:44 last month, finally breaking his silence on their relationship and coming clean about his infidelities.

But it seems like Blue Ivy's daddy still has more to say. During an exclusive Tidal segment on Monday, Jay explained how he helped restore the trust in their relationship:

He was joined by other celebrities like Will Smith, Jesse Williams, Kendrick Lamar, and Aziz Ansari to talk about dating in the public eye.

"This is my real life. I just ran into this place and we built this big, beautiful mansion of a relationship that wasn’t totally built on the 100% truth and it starts cracking."

"Things start happening that the public can see, then we had to get to a point of ‘OK, tear this down and let's start from the beginning.'"

"It's the hardest thing I've ever done."

The 47-year-old Brooklyn native knew honesty was the only way his marriage would survive, so Jay allowed Bey to listen to the entire album way before its release.

Which isn't too much of a surprise, since the 22-time Grammy winner allowed her husband to do the same thing long before Lemonade made its debut.

"We've been in that space where we just got to the place that in order for this to work, it can't be fake — not once. "

"I'm not saying it wasn't uncomfortable because obviously it was, but because we've been doing it for so long it was less uncomfortable."
