The toll of the dead in Mumbai's Ghatkopar building crash on Tuesday morning touched 17. Besides BMC officials said that seven were still admitted in the hospital while six others were discharged.

Repair work may have caused collapse
Residents of the building said that Sunil Shitap, owner of the hospital that was operating from the ground floor, had been carrying out repair work. The pillars of the structure might have been hit by the repair work leading to the collapse.
