Japan - Retailer accused of rigging Switch lottery

BIC Camera has had to issue an apology over claims that they were rigging their Switch lottery drawings. As you know, many retailers in Japan are doing Switch lotteries to let customers buy a Switch. They hand out tickets, and then winning numbers are chosen. The winners get to purchase a Switch.

When it comes to BIC Camera, there seemed to be an issue with the ticket numbers given out. In a recent lottery, ticket holder 180 was the winner. The thing is, people in line with tickets 179 and 181 noticed that there seemed to be a lack of ticket 180. Where did ticket 180 go? This caused people to think that the lotteries were rigged from the start.

BIC Camera has issued an apology for the confusion, but they say there's been no corruption behind the scenes, and nothing funny is going on with the lottery.
