Three persons, including a gangster and two policemen, were injured in a shootout at Kasna police station area of Greater Noida on Tuesday morning.
Anil Bhati alias Tota was arrested but his two accomplices managed to escape. The sharpshooter, who belongs to the Anil Dujana gang, sustained a bullet injury in the leg. The policemen suffered minor injuries in the shootout.
Tip-off
“The anti-extortion cell received a tip-off. A team comprising members of the anti-extortion cell and Kasna police was deployed in plainclothes,” said Gautam Budh Nagar Superintendent of Police (Rural) Suniti. The team raided a house at Janpat village where the criminals were hiding. “They opened fire at the team and tried to flee. Anil was shot and nabbed,” Ms. Suniti added.
