Nintendo Switch will be in stock at Gamestop this week

But also, bundles

It can still be tricky to track down the Nintendo Switch hardware if you don’t have a system yet, but GameStop is promising that stock will be coming into brick and mortar stores starting on July 17 and going through July 21.

The retailer is not saying how many Switch units it will receive or exactly when they’ll be hitting. You’re encouraged to call your local store to try to figure out what the allotment is going to look like, but at least we know they’re on their way.

The kind-of-bad news is that some of the systems will be tied up in bundles. “GameStop secured an additional allotment of the Nintendo Switch systems available for purchase as individual console systems, or as a part several top-selling online bundles,” the company stated.

Here are your options in terms of bundles:

The Nintendo Switch with gray Joy-Con Multiplayer Fun Bundle, $459.99

  • Nintendo Switch with gray Joy-Con
  • Splatoon 2
  • Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
  • Switch racing wheel two-pack
  • Switch Splatoon 2 game traveler case

The Nintendo Switch with with gray Joy-Con kid-friendly Bundle, $479.99.

  • Nintendo Switch with gray Joy-Con
  • Splatoon 2
  • Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
  • Snipperclips
  • SanDisk Ultra 64GB microSD with adapter

The Nintendo Switch with Neon Joy-Con Must Have Fan Bundle, $499.99

  • Nintendo Switch with neon Joy-Con
  • Splatoon 2
  • The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
  • The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Expansion (digital)
  • Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

It’s worth pointing out that the bundle with the neon controllers is the most expensive, because of course it is.

These aren’t terrible bundles, but each one likely includes something you might not want, and GameStop was careful to add in a few higher-margin items in the mix. If you really want a Switch and there’s no other option, however, these aren’t the worst bundles we’ve seen. It’s just kind of a bummer practice in general when things are so supply constrained. Although supply constraints are what encourage retailers to bundle anyway.

But that’s another topic. If you’re looking for a Switch, GameStop is a good place to start for the next few days.
