Abstract: Objective:To analyze the clinical features among 81 patients with neurosyphilis.Methods: A retrospective analysis was made on the clinical features, imaging manifestations, serologic and CSF tests for syphilis among 81 cases diagnosed as neurosyphilis.Results: Among these 81 patients with neurosyphilis, 38 cases with non-stage 3 and 43 cases with stage 3, most of them were male patients.55 cases (67.9%) had clinical symptoms of neurosyphilis.The syphilis blood tests of 81 neurosyphilis showed that 80 cases were TRUST positive and 81 cases were TPPA positive.Cerebrospinal fluid examination of 74 cases showed that 16 cases (21.6%) were VDRL positive, 31 cases (41.9%) had 10×106/L white blood cell count or higher, 52 cases (70.3%) had 500 mg/L of protein or higher.Conclusions: Neurosyphilis patients were more common in male and had complex and diverse clinical features and imaging manifestations.Physicians should understand the clinical features comprehensively in order to provide standard treatment choices, health education and psychological care.
