Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle Game's Combat Trailer Streamed

posted on by Rai Kelly
Crossover game launches for Nintendo Switch on August 29

The official Ubisoft YouTube channel began streaming a combat trailer for its upcoming Nintendo Switch game Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle. The trailer showcases Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Yoshi, and their Rabbid versions fighting a boss.

Ubisoft also streamed a video showing discussions with the developers on the "Spooky Trails" level and the game's co-op capabilities.

Ubisoft revealed the game in June during video game convention E3 in June. The game will launch for Nintendo Switch on August 29. Ubisoft describes the game:

In Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, you'll explore a Mushroom Kingdom that has been turned upside-down. Those iconic green pipes have sprouted Rabbid ears and turned white, and many other sights familiar to Nintendo fans have been caught up in the craziness. As you explore this colorful, vibrant world, you'll collect coins, solve puzzles, and find hidden chests containing items and gear to help your team grow stronger against the challenging enemies that stand between you and your goal.

The characters in the game are Mario, Peach, Luigi, Yoshi, Rabbid Mario, Rabbid Peach, Rabbid Luigi, and Rabbid Yoshi. Each has different weapons and abilities for use in turn-based gameplay. Players can choose three characters for single-player campaigns, and two characters each for co-op challenges.

The game will launch with a standard edition and a collector's edition with a Rabbid Mario figurine, collector's cards, and the original soundtrack. Those who preorder the game will receive eight in-game weapons.
