After another day packed full of Marco Verratti to Barcelona speculation, we can safely now say it's time for the club to give up and start looking elsewhere.
After the Italian's agent did his best to force a move to Camp Nou with his "prisoner of the Emir or Qatar" comments, PSG have now released a video with Verratti apologising profusely for his agent's words.
"We've gone through some tough times over the last few days," he said in a video on the club's official website.
"I saw what my agent said and I just want to say that they are not my words at all and I want to apologise to everyone at the club, the President, the fans and the players.
"I am very happy here, we go back to training now and I am thrilled to be back here and start working again.

"I know the club trusts me and I really want to apologise once again. I don't talk much as I have a lot of respect for PSG.
"I have become the player I am today also thanks to the club and that's why I am so deeply sorry
"They were not my words and he made a big mistake. I hope that this will not happen again
"Everyone wants to focus on working. I too will do my best as I always do for the club."
Make of the video what you will (and is it me, or is he reading from a script?) but what is now certain is that Verratti is going nowhere, and Barca must now focus all their transfer efforts elsewhere.
