I can't see any reason why not, other then the obvious of thermal concerns....

has got to be the worst plasti-dip job ever, feel sorry for anyone who has to try and peal it off. I suspect that was half the reason for Free Geek parts, so they could just be tossed afterward.

They've been redoing all of the sets, so I think the booth is currently pulled down.

What with what they were actually planning to do, I don't think paint quality was really in their minds lol 

 

If Linus asked me to strip down an entire PC, components included, and do a proper paint job on each and every one of them (primer, sanding, multiple coats etc.) I'd stab him in the heart.

not saying do all that, just use proper spray technique so you get a smooth finish, you don't sand or primer with plasti-dip.

That actually didn't look too bad,on another note the end ad integration had some wired sound popping.

Could you not have found older components? Those are still very good parts someone could have used.... A P4 would have been great....

See what I REALLY wanna know is how far can you go with this without compromising the cooling capabilities of the machine, this could be useful information for those wanting to do a colour matching build but just cant find the part colours they need.
