The sculpture, called K., is an amazing feat of technology and design, created by Czech artist David Černý. 42 individual plates of stainless steel, 38 of which move in horizontal circles, make up the giant face of one of the most famous literary figures of the 20th century – Franz Kafka.

The pieces move in complete synchrony to form and dissolve the author's face, creating an ever-in-flux 'metal-morphosis.' A closer look at the bust reveals Kafka's famous mid-parted hairstyle and sharp features. July 3, 2017 marks the 134th anniversary of his birthday.
