So many stress cuddles.

Pets are wonderful magical creatures for about a million and one reasons.

But one undeniable perk of having an animal to love and cherish is the impact it can have on your mental health.

Obviously, if you're dealing with a mental illness, your pet is only a small part of the equation and not a replacement for professional treatment. BUT that's not to say that a pet can't help a shit ton.

Maybe they give you a reason to wake up every morning, even when you think you can't.

Or maybe they're necessary to ease your anxiety.

Maybe they're the perfect non-judgmental therapist.

Or maybe they keep you active, which is a big part of keeping your mental illness at bay.
