Mommy Dionisia to Horn: Linisan niya ang laro niya

Dionisia Pacquiao on Tuesday hoped that Australian boxer Jeff Horn would play fairly on his next fight, noting that her son Manny Pacquiao never committed foul play during his entire career.

"Sana sa laro ulit, sino pa ma-partner niya sa laro, linisan niya ang laro niya. Wala akong nakita sa anak ko, matagal nang boxing anak ko, wala akong nakita na marumi siyang maglaro," Mommy Dionisia said in an interview on Unang Balita.

Eight-division world champ Pacquiao who is also an elected senator lost to Horn on Sunday. The three judges scored the fight 117-111, 115-113 and 115-113.

He said that the results of the "Battle of Brisbane" has tainted the reputation of boxing as a sport.

The boxer also commented on Horn's headlocks and the referee's failure to warn the Australian boxer of his infractions on top of failing to deduct points for the headlocks.

"Lagi akong gina-grab sa ulo, sinasakal," Pacquiao said. "Malaki at saka dapat wina-warningan ng referee. Saka how many times ginagawa, inulit-ulit niya. Dapat may deductions."

"And then 'yung pag accidental headbutt. 'Pag accidental headbutt 'yung nangyari, dalawang beses, dapat may deduction 'yun eh. That's the professional rules," he continued.  "Hindi marunong 'yung referee."

Meanwhile, the Games and Amusements Board has asked the World Boxing Organization for a review of the fight between Pacquiao and Horn.
