M19 survived the stacked TI7 CIS open qualifiers to lay a claim to one of the two remaining spots in the regional qualifiers.
With a record breaking 1024 teams signed up for the TI7 CIS open qualifiers and a brutal best-of-one bracket until the semi finals, the stakes and competition was high for these regional teams. Except for M19.
The newly formed CIS team featuring Gleb " Funn1k " Lipatnikov and led by Mikhail “Misha” Agatov have a chance to prove they belong among the fierce competition of the regional qualifiers with their peers.
After clearing the single match elimination series, M19 took down a team named LLIMeJlb Reborn 2:0 to advance into the grand finals. It was there that they met up with known CIS team Double Dimension. The first game was over before DD could blink - in only 26 minutes M19 had taken the first game advantage. However, DD were not ready to hand over their TI dreams just yet and took the second match off of M19. Funn1k and company were forced to regroup and refocus. Which was exactly what they did as they swooped back in and snatched the third game victory to secure their place.
All is not lost for Double Dimension and the remaining teams including for KBU featuring Niklas "Wagamama" Högström, Yaroslav "NS" Kuznetsov and Alexander "XBOCT" Dashkevich. All local teams have a second chance starting again tomorrow, June 24th to seize the final spot in the regional qualifiers.
