Raja Hosts Roundtable Discussion with Hispanic and Latino Community Leaders

Congressman Krishnamoorthi hosted a roundtable discussion on Thursday with Hispanic and Latino community leaders at his district office in Schaumburg. The discussion focused primarily on the work in which attendees were engaged, issues they faced, and where they believe policy improvements might be implemented with the Congressman’s help. In a far-ranging conversation touching on questions of immigration policy, education, and community policing, the driving focus was on combatting the increased fear felt by many in the Latino community due to the heated political climate.

“I’m glad we were able to bring so many community leaders together to speak out on these issues and we’ll need to continue to make their voices heard,” said Congressman Krishnamoorthi. “I would like to see the leaders who spoke at our meeting today continue to meet, to share resources and knowledge while continuing the dialogue we started today.”
