McLaren’s new supercar 720S now available in Hong Kong
McLaren Automotive has launched the McLaren 720S, a supercar, which marks the dawn of a new era in the McLaren Super Series. The mid-engined, rear-wheel drive two-seater is the successor to the 650S Coupé. It is a bold reinterpretation of McLaren’s design language.
Featuring a carbon-fibre chassis, the 720S has a lightest dry weight of 1,283 kilograms and a spacious interior. With a maximum speed of 341km/h, the supercar has a twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 engine. Fuel efficiency and sustainability are among its strengths – it has 249g/km CO² emissions.
The supercar’s aluminium bodywork is “shrink-wrapped” around a carbon fibre structure for a futuristic look and optimal aerodynamic efficiency. Drivers can choose from Comfort, Sport or Track mode.
The McLaren 720S comes in 20 colours including the signature McLaren orange. The model is now available in Hong Kong with a price tag of HK$4.88 million and up.
