You and I know that Google Search Console is often a few days lagged but did you know that it can take 4-6 days for a new verified profile to start showing data in Google Search Console. Often I see that happen in less than three days but sometimes not.

John Mueller from Google was asked how long it takes the Index Status report to show index count numbers after adding a new site to Google Search Console.

John responded that it takes anywhere from 4-6days for that to happen.

Again, I've seen this happen sooner but always good to give a longer time frame and deliver the results sooner.

Forum discussion at Twitter.

Update: The original story said 3-5 days, but John updated his tweet to say 4-6 days now.
