Top NBA draft prospect Markelle Fultz reportedly cancelled his second workout with the Boston Celtics on Saturday in the aftermath of his visit with the Philadelphia 76ers.

Adam Himmelsbach of the Boston Globe reported the news and noted the Washington product cancelled the workout to instead visit the Los Angeles Lakers and 76ers, although he noted the Celtics are still trying to convince the guard to come in again.

The fact that the Celtics are attempting to convince Fultz to work out again is notable because they currently hold the No. 1 pick in the upcoming draft. Fultz is widely considered to be 2017's top prospect, and Bleacher Report's Jonathan Wasserman projected him to Boston in a recent mock draft.

However, ESPN.com reported after Fultz's Saturday workout with the 76ers there are trade talks in place between Philadelphia and Boston. The potential swap would send the Celtics' No. 1 pick to the 76ers in exchange for the No. 3 pick and future selections.

For his part, Fultz was focused on what he can control.

"I let God take care of it," he said, per ESPN.com. "I wake up every morning and get ready to go to the gym. I don't really pay attention to everything that's going on. I'm truly blessed to be in this position. Whatever happens, I'm looking forward to taking my talents to wherever I go."

Fultz averaged a head-turning 23.2 points, 5.9 assists and 5.7 rebounds per game during his one season at Washington and had 76ers big man Joel Embiid dreaming about the future Saturday:

It is not hard to envision a scenario where Fultz, Embiid, Ben Simmons and Dario Saric develop together over the course of the next few years as the process finally comes to fruition in Philadelphia. Having Fultz would take some of the ball-handling pressure off point-forward Simmons, and the Washington prospect could also work in pick-and-rolls and pick-and-pops with Embiid for years to come.

However, the trade with Boston has to happen first, even if Fultz doesn't seem too keen on working out for the Celtics for the time being.
