Emma reinstated by WWE; will face 'punitive action for her violation of the law'

WWE.com

When news broke earlier today that Emma was released by WWE, I sent an e-mail asking for an official statement on the matter. I also asked how her violation of the law warranted release while Jack Swagger and Cameron were kept on despite arrests for DWI.

The official statement in response:

"Upon further evaluation, WWE has reinstated Tenille Dashwood (WWE Diva Emma) but will take appropriate punitive action for her violation of the law."

That is, of course, the same thing they put up on the company website shortly after the decision was made.

This lends further credence to the statement from Emma's lawyer that the matter was a simple misunderstanding. He claimed she wasn't actively trying to shoplift the item she was arrested for stealing, an "iHome 'Slim Swivel' iPad Mini case", but rather she went through a self-checkout line and failed to ring it up.

She already had her day in court and was ordered to do community service and take an online course. Upon completion of these conditions, her charges will be thrown out.
