The words ‘self love’… sometimes… make me do a small internal ‘yuck’ dance.

But here’s the thing;

Is

The

It’s the source of all positive emotion, the source of all power and that which all love for others grows from. When we appreciate who we truly are…. that’s when life fizzles; that’s when we get the awesome ideas, the confidence and the pow.
.
I know they don’t tell us this in school. That’s because schools are part of the system that believes we must beat ourselves with (metaphorical) sticks in order to get things done. That’s okay. In the past we didn’t know any better.
.
But, nevertheless, what that old system says Is. A. Lie.
.
The time for this way of thinking has run its course.
.
Now’s time for the ‘mmmmm’ way, the ‘yessssssss’s way; the ‘lets choose what we do according to How. It. Feeeeeeels.’ way.
.
We create our best creations when we are loving to ourselves because that’s when we’re in flow with that which created us. That being positive energy. That being awesomeness. That being love.
.
How to get in this flow of self appreciation? Cancel a plan that feels rubbish and ask yourself ‘how would you reeeeeeally like to spend this time, sweet one?’. Go on. I dare ya.

After three days of solitude, I’m sinking into The Now in a way I haven’t done for months. Saying a deep hello to myself moment by moment by moment. I’ve seen anger and fear and love in gushes like ocean waves and am ready for more.

Today, as the sun shines, I feel blessed to be alive. Wandering around Walsingham - the ancient pilgrimage town - I soak in the stillness and observe the dozens (and dozens) of gown-clad nuns and priest with joy.

Delighted to be spreading my wings in all the ways my heart guides, delighted to be a lightworker on our planet at this time; to be combing acting and creativity with spirituality, meditation and teaching. Honoured to be crafting my unique path

Sometimes - when we get still so that mental and physical blocks dissolve - what we’re left with is joy. Love. That which we are. Nothing else really, truly exists. Love is the definitive positive emotion and the word positive literally means to exists. Positive numbers are the one that have any substance, and so it is with emotion and vibration.

Spending time in womb-like spaces seems to be my thing ATM. First the ReTreat at HOME and now this awesome beech tree. .
Low to the ground, shaded by its limbs I crawled, sat, meditated and marvelled at wonder of life. Amongst all of everything, there’s stillness and beauty to be found. Though my mind may want to move and shake and point out ‘what’s scary’ the truth is things are miraculous. .
There’s the Earth and sky, stars and moons, seas, humans and heart beats. There’s love and cake and presence and breathing. There’s me and you and touch and hugs and words and silence. .
