Abstract: Objective To analyze the ultrasonic performance of gastrointestinal stromal tumors(GISTs) by color doppler ultrasonography combined with gastric intestines contrast agent,and to evaluate the ultrasound diagnostic value of GISTs.Methods A retrospective study was performed on 53 cases of patients with GISTs who were admitted from November 2011 to December 2016.Patients were proved by surgery and pathology were detected by using routine ultrasound and color doppler ultrasonography combined with gastrointestinal ultrasound contrast agents,the total detection rate,ultrasonic manifestations and image characteristics with two methods of detection were observed and compared.Results Among 53 cases of patients with GISTs,27 cases were detected by using routine ultrasound,46 cases were detected by using gastrointestinal ultrasound contrast agents,the detection rate was 50.9% and 86.8%,there was statistically significant difference between the two methods(P<0.05).Using color doppler ultrasonography combined with gastrointestinal ultrasound contrast agents can show lesion originate from submucosa or muscularis propria,and lesions of various shapes showed homogeneous or non-homogeneous solid hypoecho even cystic degeneration and necrosis;GISTs growth pattern showed endogenous and exophytic and mixed growth,a few of exophytic lesions were connected with gastrointestinal muscularis propria by short pedicle.Conclusion The detection rate of GISTs can be obviously improved by using gastrointestinal ultrasound contrast agents,the ultrasonography has some characteristic manifestations,color doppler ultrasonography combined with gastrointestinal ultrasound contrast agents has higher clinical practical value.
