Abstract: Objective To explore the effect and safety of deep regional hyperthermia combined with chemotherapy in treating advanced gastric cancer. Method The clinical profile of 92 cases of patients with advanced gastric cancer were retrospectively analyzed, S-1+oxaliplatin or S-1+oxaliplatin combined with deep regional hyperthermia were given in control group (n=42) and study group (n=50), respectively, and both groups were treated for 4-6 cycles (21 days as a cy-cle). The tumor size, response, adverse reactions, quality of life and survival of the two groups were compared. Result Compared with the control group, the study group had smaller tumors (P<0.01), higher response rate, better quality of life and higher cumulative survival rate (P<0.05), and lower incidence of adverse reactions (P<0.05). Conclusion Deep re-gional hyperthermia combined with chemotherapy can effectively improve the treatment effects in advanced gastric can-cer, with better safety, which is clinically applicable.
