Low intensity laser repair of inflammatory cytokines in intervertebral disc degeneration of bama mini pig

Abstract: Objective By building a miniature swine model of intervertebral disc degenerative diseases,to observe low intensity laser repair of bama pig inflammation tissue factor expression in degeneration.Methods A total of 9 miniature pig were randomly divided into the control group(Con group),laser module group(Mod group)and laser treatment group(Las group),with 3 in each group.Pigs in the Con group were without any treatment,in Mod group and Las group,under DSA positioning guide,16 g needle was put into pigs on intervertebral disc of L2-3,L3-4,L4-5 and L5-6 to make damage,1 month after modeling,the intervertebral disc in Las group were treated by low energy laser,the other two groups were not treated.Three groups were bleeding after 1 month treatment,the disc was taken out,then test their morphological changes by HE staining,and immunohistochemical detection of dish of TNF-α and IL-1 expression changes.Results MR testing results showed that in the Con group of intervertebral disc T2 weighted images showed high signal,in the Mod group of intervertebral disc nucleus pulposus T2 weighted signal intensity reduced obviously,intervertebral disc signal for a film or low signal of black shadow,and intervertebral disc became narrow;in Las group,the T2 weighted images showed middle and high signal.Compared with Con group,the expression level of TNF-α and IL-1 in Mod group and Las group significantly increased,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);compared with the Mod group,the expression level of TNF-α and IL-1 in Las group significantly reduced,and the difference has statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusion Low energy laser repair of intervertebral disc degeneration of pigs has certain repair effect,its mechanism may be related to inhibiting inflammatory reaction.
