This is the ninth annual Body Issue, and alternative covers feature nude portraits of Isaiah Thomas of the Boston Celtics, Chicago Cubs infielder Javier Baez, and tennis star Caroline Wozniacki.
Apparently Elliott's fully nude athletic form on the cover of the sports mag was ~absolutely terrifying~ to some of the mag's Twitter followers, who jumped to all kinds of insane conclusions...
And became the living, breathing embodiment of fragile masculinity.
But WHYYYYY? they asked.
