Whole Foods has fallen victim to an embarrassing mix-up after 440 pounds of "buffalo-style chicken salad" were mistakenly shipped to the store containing tuna instead of poultry.

The supplier, Willow Tree Poultry Farm, has announced a recall of the salad due to misbranding. Tuna is also a known allergen, which was not declared on the product label. The mistake was discovered by a Whole Foods Market employee when they were unpacking the product.

The affected products were produced on June 27, 2017 and sold at Whole Food Markets in Connecticut, New Jersey and New York. The 12.5 oz individual plastic container is labeled "buffalo style chicken salad" and contained the establishment number "P-8827" inside the USDA mark of inspection. A list of stores that have sold the mislabeled product can be found on the United States Department of Agriculture's website.
