You’re probably asking yourself, “What’s a Kodak Black?” Believe me, I’ve asked myself that question every time I’ve heard the rapper’s name. But then I remember that he looks like the spawn of Satan, has tattoos on his face and has a rap sheet longer than Donald Trump’s thinning “hair.”
With all of this said, it was no shock to hear that the rapper once again has said something dumb when it comes to his dating preferences.
In an Instagram Livestream video, Kodak was asked whether or not he likes Keke Palmer, well, because, you know, her career depends on his approval (/s).
“Keke Palmer, she straight. I’d bag her, but I don’t really like black girls like that, sorta, kinda,” he said.
“Black girls like that” meaning dark-brown girls. And when he tried to clarify his statement, he doubled down on his colorism and stupidity: “I love black African-American women; it’s just not my forte to deal with a dark-skin woman. I prefer them to have a lighter complexion than me. #MyPreference #FuckYou.”
If that wasn’t enough, he went back to Instagram and spoke some more nonsense.
“One thing about me, dog, you ain’t just gonna be dissing me. You ain’t gonna be dissing me under my comments or none of that shit. ’Cause, bitch, Imma clap back,” Kodak said. “Hos, niggas, whatever. I’m gonna knock your whole melon off. Don’t even comment on my shit with that fuck shit. ... You talking about black women. Bitch, fuck ya! I only like redbones. I love black African Americans, but I don’t like black bitches. ... I like yellow hos.”

You know what? Let’s not act as if Kodak is the only man out there who feels this way. So these comments never come as a surprise to me. I’ve had plenty of black men tell me I wasn’t light enough for them. And I’ve even heard the same from nonblack men. The only thing this does is put a bat signal out to women to not give a fuck about these types of men. Especially ones that make Charles Manson look sane.
The rapper has since deleted his Instagram account, like all cowards do when they can’t face the backlash.
And his excuse he posted on Twitter?
“I Could Take Criticism … I Honestly Dgaf Bout Da Whole Black , Red , Chinese Thing .. Nigga Just In A Situation #SG So Im Deactivating.”

The moral of this story? Who the fuck is dating Kodak Black and why? Women, whether you’re light or dark: Run, run away, fast. He looks like something you’d never recover from after dating.
