Investing.com – Peru stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Mining, Industrials and Electricity sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General lost 0.94%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Inretail Peru (LM:INR), which rose 2.78% or 0.500 points to trade at 18.500 at the close. Meanwhile, ENGIE Energia Peru SA (LM:ENGI) added 0.64% or 0.050 points to end at 7.850 and Cem Pacasmayo (LM:CPA) was up 0.40% or 0.030 points to 7.530 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Buenaventura (LM:BVN), which fell 9.06% or 1.150 points to trade at 11.550 at the close. Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM) declined 5.73% or 0.009 points to end at 0.148 and Bolsa de Valores de Lima SAA (LM:BVL) was down 4.54% or 0.150 points to 3.150.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 15 to 6 and 14 ended unchanged.
Shares in Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM) fell to 3-years lows; falling 5.73% or 0.009 to 0.148.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.39% or 0.18 to $46.01 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.08% or 0.04 to hit $48.27 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.27% or 3.40 to trade at $1268.00 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2815, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.6656.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 97.15.
