CHENNAI: A 30-year-old employee of
Infosys was found dead in his office dormitory in
Mahindra World City in
Paranur, 35km from the city, early on Wednesday.
Police said the techie had left his work station on Monday evening, but did not reach home. His wife filed a police complaint. Housekeeping staff who went to the office dormitory around 9pm on Tuesday found him motionless in a cot.
They found dried blood that appeared to have oozed out of his ears and mouth.
"He was holding his mobile phone in a hand," said a policeman. "But his colleagues said he was not reachable on his phone when they tried late on Monday night." Doctors who inspected the body said the death could have happened six to eight hours before the body was found.

Santhosh Hadimani said there was no external injury on the body. "We are talking to his friends and colleagues for leads. We will be looking at his call records."
Police said the techie travelled every day from his house in
Tindivanam to his work place, a distance of about 70km. He had reported for duty at 8am on Monday and did not return home. After hearing about the death, his family members gathered in front of front of Chengalpet government hospital and demanded an inquiry.
An Infosys spokesman said, "One of our employees was found dead in the office building early in the morning on Wednesday. We have identified him, but cannot divulge any details since the police are investigating the case."
Police have registered a case of suspicious death.
