Plenty of sentiment for underdog Jeff Horn, Manny Pacquiao still favourite

IN what is being dubbed the 'Battle of Brisbane', Australia's Jeff Horn ($4) will get to live out a dream when he fights Filipino boxing legend Manny Pacquiao ($1.25) at Suncorp Stadium on Sunday afternoon for the WBO Welterweight belt.

Whilst Pacquiao may be considered past his prime, his formidable record of 59 wins from 67 bouts and the prospect of an Aussie underdog defeating one of the best-known boxers of this generation makes this one of the most eagerly anticipated fights held in Australia.

Horn is unbeaten in 17 professional bouts but he is coming up against a seasoned campaigner in Pacquiao who has fought the greats like Floyd Mayweather, still possesses quick reflexes and has the defensive nous to negate the Aussie's powerful right hand plus the knowledge of fighting in front of capacity crowds.

Tip: There will be plenty of sentiment for the Queenslander but Pacquiao's experience in big occasions should hold him in good stead. Hopefully Horn can last the distance but Pacquiao by decision at $2.45 appeals.
