Abstract: A case of pseudoainhum caused by lichen planus is reported. A 25-year-old female presented with plagues on the hands companied with loss of nails, and the left thumb became thinner for 20 years. Histopathological examination showed epidermal hyperkeratosis and parakeratosis, wedge-shaped thickened granular layer, lichenoid infiltrations of mononuclear cells in the superficial dermis. According to the clinical and histopathological manifestations,the diagnosis of pseudoainhum caused by lichen planus was made.
