We know we don't have to tell you that plus-size clothing is not a category that's been historically well-represented in the high-fashion space. And despite efforts to make their runways size-inclusive, many designers have not followed up on expanding their product offering. But that changes (in some small part) today, with Tanya Taylor announcing that she's officially launching plus-size clothing—and we're proud to have played a role in her brand's size expansion.

Taylor is easing her way into the above-size-14 market with five pieces for prefall, a move first teased on the very pages of Glamour. For our March issue, we asked the CFDA designer to create a dress for Saturday Night Live's Aidy Bryant. She'd go on to wear the style—Taylor's first-ever plus-size garment—on Late Night With Seth Meyers. This collaboration, though, inspired her to introduce more inclusive sizing into her namesake line moving forward.

This inaugural plus-size capsule includes an embroidered cotton jacket, a green floral maxi, a pinstripe button-down, and a cold-shoulder printed blouse, and a navy floral mini, all of which feature the youthful, handmade prints that the designer is known for. Bryant got first dibs on the collection, wearing the prefall 2017 short-hemmed dress on The Today Show earlier this week.

"Collaborating with Aidy Bryant and Glamour on a red-carpet look opened my eyes to a market that is missing feminine, flattering, and optimistic clothing," says Taylor. "Aidy and I are the same age, share a similar joyful approach to life, and love color and print—yet we have access to different clothing. I personally wanted to change that."

Since the duo initially teamed up, Taylor's made at least one dress per month for the comedian, while simultaneously gearing up to go to market with the below. "We're an inclusive brand defined by a point of view—not a range of sizes," the designer adds. "And we're thrilled to expand our collection going forward."

Yes, you read that right: There's even more Tanya Taylor plus-size clothing to come. In fact, the brand confirmed that select looks from the fall 2017, prespring 2018, and spring 2018 collections will be size-inclusive. Can't wait till then? Shop the available looks below.
