… whose love of Voyager keeps them coming back, even when they try to escape.
There’s @notimejustwords, whose work makes me want to sob inelegantly and never ever stop reading it. Retrospect is an absolute fave, but don’t miss her newer ones, Time and Distance and the WIP, Across the Sky in Stars.
@missyhissy3 frightened the bejesus out of me by considering giving up fanfic writing, but thank God, her muse wasn’t letting go so easily. You can find most of her fic here. Don’t miss The Only Constant - it’s a masterpiece - or my personal fave, Losing a Layer. And I’m thoroughly enjoying her newbie, Turning Point, which is a sequel to another of my faves from @notimejustwords, Hidden Talents.
The clever @captacorn keeps bringing out wonderful P/T-centric pieces and her Home series is a pleasure to behold. I’m also exceedingly fond of her Lwaxana Troi/Tom Paris AU, Glorious Birds. I’m gonna go back and read the rest of her stuff over my holidays.
@rikerssexblouse is branching out into Disco fic (of which I heartily approve) but you shouldn’t miss her Voyager stories. I’m a sucker for her Owen Paris/Kathryn Janeway series, Sins of the Father, as well as the side stories that accompany it.
Back to J/C: @joyful-voyager just keeps bringing out the big guns. The Space Between (her round 1 @jccutthroatfiction entry) is gorgeous and melancholy and everything I could hope for. Click back through the rest of her work, too, and don’t miss Here I Stand.
@kjaneway115 has a WIP for which I’m excitedly waiting for the next instalment, Solitude Delivered. Also read her fantastic Basic AU, Strangers in a Strange Land, and everything else she’s written.
I don’t know if she’s on tumblr, but CarrieL recently posted Inconceivable, which I’m reading as soon as I post this because J/C meets The Princess Bride is my aesthetic. And after you’ve all read that, read The Captains’ Dance. Trust me.
Another one who may or may not be on tumblr is Jot, whose fics are quirky and fun with just enough angst to season the fluff. Their latest is Ars Magne Rufane, and don’t miss the Slice of Life Challenge series.
Finally, if @capt-nyc posts a fic you should all read it immediately, no excuses. Read her latest, Penance, for proof, and then read everything else in her catalogue. Seriously. Go now, I’ll wait.
AND I wouldn’t call any of these people fandom olds, but they’re seasoned enough to make this list and they’re still posting, so here they are:
@jhelenoftrek‘s latest, In Some Other Life
@rawkfemme‘s latest, Closing Time
@weary-hearted-queen‘s latest, you see the what, but not the when
Have I missed someone I should have included? Reblog and add them!
And don’t forget to check out the newbies!
