Allie F Tbh, I just don't find Tom Holland the best or most appealing Spider-Man. He did a pretty good job, but this movie just didn't quite immerse me as much as some of the other MCU movies. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/04/22 Full Review Anthony L A Peter Parker that actually feels like a high schooler is a refreshing experience. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 10/01/21 Full Review Ted G A great new rendition of the famous wall crawler! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/22/21 Full Review J T To me Michael Keaton carried this movie big-time and its incredible we don't see more of him in these types of roles are others for that matter - Keaton was magnificent and Robert Downey adds to the film. Holland is ok and its clear the film producers were targeting a younger crowd. I think there's a little something for everyone in this film, even an appearance by Marisa Tomei - she did a great job as a younger aunt May. But as I mentioned above Michael Keaton was the (standout) star and turns this film from what might have been an average, maybe even a dull Spiderman film into a one where he towers above everyone else. Can we get some more Michael Keaton in on MCU productions. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/19/24 Full Review Derek Don't like the whole Iron Man being Peter's mentor. Aside from that the jokes just made me cringe from how cheesy they were. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 04/07/24 Full Review Jason They made a whole movie about that spider guy from YouTube [8.9/10] I hope Donald Glover's ice cream didn't melt. Bob Mondello NPR What makes this homecoming fun is [Tom] Holland, who seems as excited about Spider-Man as his classmates even though he is Spider-Man. Aug 17, 2017 Full Review Matthew Rozsa Salon.com If "Spider-Man: Homecoming" is to be judged solely on its ability to unite a diverse audience behind a fun motion picture, it seems to have succeeded wildly. Rated: 3/4 Aug 3, 2017 Full Review Richard Brody New Yorker A strangely oblivious film, one that undercuts its story with exactly the sort of praise-hungriness that its hero learns to overcome. Jul 17, 2017 Full Review Cory Woodroof For the Win (USA Today) The film was a refreshingly scaled-down take on Parker’s journey as a superhero. Even the billionaire Iron Man tech he uses, you still enjoy Parker as a scrappy underdog fighting for what he loves. Jun 20, 2023 Full Review Joseph Garcia Dynamic Duel Podcast If it wasn't apparent before, it's super apparent now that Marvel Studios understands their characters better than anyone else does.
