The Walking Dead removes major actor from opening credits

After last week's episode of The Walking Dead left viewers with more questions than answers, it looks like the most important one has been addressed

Consider this your spoiler warning for the rest of the post, dear reader.

For the first time since the show's pilot aired in 2010, Steven Yeun's name was removed from both the opening and end credits, confirming that the actor's fan-favorite character, Glenn, was indeed killed off.

Talking about the controversial and unforeseen death last week, showrunner Scott Gimple said that fans would eventually see Glenn again, but refused to go into further detail. According to the press release that included his statement, however, it looks like Yeun will return to the show to film a few flashback scenes with the rest of his Walking Dead clan.

Unfortunately, other questions that came at the end of the the season's third episode couldn't be answered with last night's episode. Instead of continuing where the story left off last week, Gimple removed the fourth episode completely from the show's narrative arc, and chose to air a stand-alone style episode focused on Morgan.

Hopefully, there will be more answers next week as the show approaches its halfway mark.

The Walking Dead airs Sunday nights at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
