This wonderful apartment, dating from the nineteenth century, and which once was used as a photography studio, was remodeled and turned into two residences. These two new apartments are located on the top of a Haussmannian building in the Opéra-Madeleine district of Paris, France.
The two duplex apartments have been designed for short-term rental, with bedrooms and bathrooms in the lower levels, and the more social area, with a drawing room and the kitchen, on the upper level.
Its most striking feature? The gorgeous views over the Parisian streets and buildings that surround it.
The apartments’ spaces are characterized by walls and ceilings made out of glass, which not only provides us with the perfect setting from which to admire the surrounding views, but also allows the spacious interior to be filled with light.
White is the predominant color in the interior, and placed alongside the gorgeous light-colored wood of the floors, it creates an elegant and modern combination that contrasts starkly and beautifully with the history of the building.
Both glass walls and mirrors have been used in its décor and design, which has made the space seem larger and brighter, in so avoiding it feeling constricted in any way.
