Abstract: Objective To investigate the onset status of fatty liver in hospitalized chronic schizophrenics and analyze relative factors. Methods B ultrasound examinations were performed in 334 hospitalized chronic schizophrenics and the onset status of fatty liver and relative factors statistically analyzed. Results The incidence of fatty liver was 17.67%,had significant differences in age groups,lengths of stay and body mass index (BMI) (P<0.05),and no in genders,complications,used antipsychotics and obesity types (P>0.05). Conclusion The incidence of fatty liver in hospitalized chronic schizophrenics is higher compared with general population and the onset of fatty liver is related to ages,length of stay,obesity and so on.
