CCTV footage has emerged allegedly showing a man carrying a shopping list as he stuffs goods into his jacket at a store in Swansea.

The footage shows a man dressed in jogging bottoms, a black jumper, and a red baseball cap making his way around the Rheidol Avenue Post Office in Clase.

He appears to take items from the shelves and put them inside his jacket before making his way to the counter and paying for some other goods.

The footage also shows the man carrying some form of list, which he keeps checking as he makes his way around the store.

Store owner Thurai Karan said: "I was away from the shop when it happened and we had a new member of staff working behind the counter."

Mr Karan, who has owned the store for around two years, added: "Two men came in and on the cameras you can see that one of them takes items and puts them inside his jacket.

"It looked like the man was carrying some sort of list but he could have just been pretending."

The spokesman said: "The incident occurred at 8pm on June 6.
