akarta’s Law and Human Rights office plans to move drug convict Haryanto Chandra to the high-security Nusakambangan penitentiary in Central Java from his "luxurious cell" at the Cipinang penitentiary in East Jakarta.
The transfer will be made pending an examination into Haryanto by the National Narcotics Agency (BNN), office head Endang Sudirman said on Wednesday.
“Once he is released from BNN, we will take action. The likely possibility is moving him to Nusakambangan,” Endang said in Jakarta as quoted by kompas.com.
The special cell was revealed after BNN officers raided Cipinang prison in late May.

BNN found that Haryanto has access to special facilities, such as an air conditioner, wi-fi, a fish aquarium and a special food menu. BNN also found a laptop, an iPad, four cellular phones and one token for internet banking.
Officers also caught some inmates consuming crystal methamphetamine in the cell.
Endang said Cipinang penitentiary head Kunto Wiryanto and all wardens would be scrutinized.
“We will ask for [Kunto's] responsibility,” Endang said, adding that the chief warden might face dismissal.
Haryanto has also been investigated by the BNN for possible money laundering crimes related to money from drugs business. (ecn/bbs)
