Katy Perry performs at Glastonbury in a crystal catsuit
Any fan of Katy Perry’s will tell you she's not known for understated style. And while artists like Madonna and Rihanna might go all out for an on stage costume -think flamenco capes and thigh high denim boots -well, nobody does it quite like Katy.
This year’s Glastonbury festival, it seems, is no exception. As the world looked on, Perry took to the stage in a skin-coloured catsuit covered with thousands of crystals for her set. When the Swarovski heiress, Victoria Swarovski, got married last week, it seemed that no one could ever possibly out-do her on number of crystals worn at once- especially as she wore multiple dresses during the celebration. But that was before Perry chose a tight fitting crystal studded catsuit, branded with an all-seeing eye and paired with a purple backpack and cap.
Fans were delighted to see Perry in great form, and as the rain held off for the performance, spirits were high. Gold trainers, which matched Perry’s gold microphone, completed the look on the third day of Glastonbury festival. Perry even jumped into the crowd, as yellow confetti rained down.
Glastonbury may be better known for its rock and roll talent and indie bands, but one thing is certain- no one but a pop star can really deliver that infectious sense of excitement. I'm sure the left shark would agree…
