If you've ever wanted to celebrate a few of the internet's many wonders in one adorable necklace, get ready for the following Portmanteau-based jewelry item: the purrmaid necklace.
As you can probably guess, cats and mermaids are the two main features of the purrmaid necklaces. Specifically, the necklaces feature cute kittens with colorful mermaid tails. The accessories, created by Etsy user GirlAndHerCat a.k.a. Sarah B. and first spotted by Revelist, also come in other internet trend-inspired iterations, such as unicorn horns, flower crowns, golden deer antlers, and more.
Each purrmaid is made of polymer clay measuring about two inches long (although Sarah recently started making smaller ones, too), and dangling on a 24-inch long chain (when unclasped). The adorable items retail for $30 each plus a $5 shipping fee. And they're completely customizable.
"Want your own pet sculpted as a mermaid? unicorn? both? really anything. This is for any color tail, including the solar color dust flakes, they can even have multiple colors. As well as any tail shape you've seen that you just 'must have!'" Sarah writes in the Etsy description for the purrmaids. "As well as any cat color, I can even reference a picture of your fur baby so it's as close to your dream as possible. Could be any animal as well: dogs, pandas, whales, elephants, etc."
But if you're already planning out your order, you're going to have to be patient. Sarah wrote an Etsy post explaining that she has been so bogged down with orders that the purrmaids are backordered for the next two months, and her waitlist is now several weeks long. At least this means you now have more time to think of the perfect outfit with which to pair your purrmaid.
In addition to Instagramming photos of a bunch of her creations, Sarah also shares pictures of her artistic process. Check out how the purrmaids are born, below.
