YouTube TV will soon launch in these ten new markets

YouTube's relatively new live television service YouTube TV launched in a limited number of markets, and while it still isn't available for everyone, Google says it'll soon be available in ten new markets. It hasn't actually launched in all of these markets yet, so you'll still need to sign up on the service's website where you'll find out whether your zip code is in the coverage area.

YouTube announced the expanded regions yesterday, saying its live TV service will soon be available in the following cities:

- Washington DC

- Houston

- Atlanta

- Miami – Fort Lauderdale

- Minneapolis – St Paul

- Phoenix

- Dallas – Fort Worth

- Orlando – Daytona Beach – Melbourne

- Charlotte

If you live in one of these regions, you can find out whether it has arrived in your city by going to the YouTube TV page and choosing to sign up for the free 1-month trial. The website will automatically determine your current location and tell you whether the service is available. If it chooses the wrong location, you can manually input a zip code.

Not familiar with the service? It is like PlayStation Vue, Hulu Live, Sling TV and more, offers live streaming television over the Internet rather than through traditional means. You get access to the major networks, such as ABC, FOX, CBS, and NBC, among others, as well as an unlimited cloud DVR and up to six accounts per house. The service is priced at a flat $35/month.
