Today, Joey Purp releases his new mixtape, iiiDrops. It can be heard in full below via SoundCloud.
Spanning 11 tracks, the new project collects a number of heavyweight hip-hop guests in Mick Jenkins, Saba, and Purp’s fellow Savemoney crewmates Chance the Rapper and Vic Mensa. Producers such as frequent collaborator Donnie Trumpet, Thelonious Martin, and Knox Fortune provide their talents behind the boards.
iiiDrops serves as the follow-up to The Purple Tape, the 2012 effort that established Purp as one of Chicago’s hottest rising MCs. It also comes after a string of certified bangers in “Still Got” featuring Mensa and the Kami de Chukwu-aided “We Don’t Know How to Stop”. Listen to the full thing now.
