These Celeb Mums Were Trolled For Their Pregnancy And Post-Partum Bodies, And Their Responses Were Perfect

Luckily their responses were phenomenal and inspiring.

Here are Giovanna Fletcher, Rebekah Vardy and Danielle Lloyd. They all have one thing in common: The fact they have grown and given birth to multiple human beings.

This week, however, they've also had another thing in common: They were all targeted by trolls and body-shamed. In Giovanna and Rebekah's case, the comments were directed at their post-partum bodies. For Danielle, it was her pregnant body was criticised.

The first to be subjected to trolling was author Giovanna Fletcher, who was enjoying a holiday with her husband, McFly's Tom Fletcher, and their two sons, Buzz and Buddy.

During the trip, she shared this video of herself in a swimsuit.

Which was quickly met with this backhanded compliment.

Giovanna responded with another photo of herself, alongside a defiant message of body positivity.

Giovanna revealed that she's proud of her body for providing her with her sons – and that they are her priority, not cellulite.

She also stated that she regards her body as "perfectly imperfect."

And people really loved her for sharing such an inspiring message.

This isn't the first time Giovanna has endured upsetting comments about her post-baby body, though. In fact, 11 days after giving birth to her second child in 2016, a medical professional said to her: "Oh look, mummy's still got her tummy!"

Writing on Facebook, Giovanna said she felt "baffled" by the comment, and stated that she regarded her bump a "miracle worker." The post went viral, being shared over 20,000 times, and racking up 250,000 likes.

The second celebrity who endured body-shaming this week was Rebekah Vardy, who shared this photo of herself spending time outdoors with her 5 month old son, Finley.

One of the first comments on the picture simply said: "Fat gut."

Many people immediately jumped to Rebekah's defense. Some said the comment had made them "sick."

Others decried the judgement placed on women and praised Rebekah for representing the "everyday normal woman." In fact, just a couple of months ago Rebekah took part in an unairbrushed photoshoot to show the realities of a post-baby body.

And it didn't take long before Rebekah took to Twitter to shut down the criticism, saying she was having "too much fun" with her children to be concerned about the troll's comments.

For anyone that says I'm fat πŸ˜‚πŸ™ˆJust so you know, I couldn't care less..I'm having too much fun playing with my kids and enjoying my hols πŸ”πŸŸ

    P.s.....just for the record I'm a MASSIVE size 8/10 you drips πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ™„πŸ™„ #huge

However, this isn't the first time Rebekah has been body-shamed by trolls either. Earlier this year, she revealed that trolls targeted her when photos of her leaving the hospital post labour.

Speaking to The Sun, Rebekah said:

People on Twitter were saying that my thighs were fat, saying they couldn't believe Jamie was with me because I was so huge. I'd just given birth. I looked normal. And I have had lots of abuse since then. Women who've just given birth should not be made to feel ugly. After having a baby, your hormones are raging. The last thing you want to feel is pressurised and upset.

After being shamed, she shared this comparison between her pre and post-partum stomach, urging women to be proud of their bodies.

Her caption implored women to "learn to love" their "wrinkly skin, stretch marks" and "deflated boobs."

The final celebrity to be shamed is model Danielle Lloyd, who's currently 6 months pregnant with her fourth child.

After these photographs of her on holiday with her fiancΓ© were published, the comments on the article descended into a total shitshow.

Danielle defended herself on Instagram, drawing particular attention to the comment describing her as a "whale." She went on to state that no woman should be body-shamed, especially not while pregnant.

And people were quick to praise Danielle too.

    You go, ladies. πŸ’•
