Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Consumer Services and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.48%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV), which rose 1.18% or 0.50 points to trade at 42.77 at the close. Meanwhile, Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HE:NDA1V) added 0.70% or 0.080 points to end at 11.490 and Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) was up 0.29% or 0.11 points to 37.49 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV), which fell 2.20% or 0.250 points to trade at 11.110 at the close. Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) declined 1.89% or 1.00 points to end at 51.85 and UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM) was down 1.43% or 0.35 points to 24.17.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 106 to 32 and 13 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for July delivery was up 0.77% or 0.40 to $52.61 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 0.84% or 0.41 to hit $49.48 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.41% or 5.12 to trade at $1253.58 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.24% to 1.1132, while EUR/GBP fell 0.50% to 0.8562.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.15% at 97.49.
