We have come across a lot of unusual tech incidents or tech news over the past couple of months. But what we have here today is something which indeed shows that you can put the new age technological advancements to a good use. A man just used a proof of WhatsApp chat screenshot for the notice which he served and guess what? The court happily accepted it.

Yes, this is indeed the first of its kind incident that we have come across. The Delhi High court had allowed the use of WhatsApp and Email in judicial proceedings. Soon after this, a man filed an appeal in the civil court, requesting to restrain his son and daughter-in-law and her parents and friends from trespassing into the suit property. Obviously, the court asked him to send a legal notice for the same. The man insisted that it would take a lot of time to get it done, explaining his situation.

WhatsApp messenger is soon going to support Digital Payments in India

And guess what? The court informed him that he can serve the notice to these people via WhatsApp. He sent the message and as soon as he saw the blue ticks, he took a color printout of the chat. If you don’t know what blue tick is, it tells if the recipient has read your message or not. And in its order, the court accepted this color printout as a proof that he served the notice. Now the defendants are restrained from trespassing into the suit property. You can head over to the link down below to read more on this.

But this definitely proves that these kinds of unusual circumstances are also accepted by the court and all you have to do is, provide proper proof to support your claim.
