Come to Japan to give moral support? This guy is really anti-Chinese, and the fact that he is half Japanese also plays to his advantage here.

It seems that in recent years there is nothing anyone can do in Asia with out annoying the Chinese or soliciting a protest from Beijing!

However, saying that, there are times when a little bit of diplomatic common sense should prevail and this seems to be a bit of a blunder. It wont serve either party well. China will se it as proof perfect that America is pulling the strings on the listening post and Japan will suffer yet another diplomatic setback to its attempts to improve relations with its neighbour!

Name one high ranking (or even lower ranking) officer in the US military who isn't anti-Chinese or anti-Russian. As far as your comment on Admiral Harris' ethic background goes, you and the CCP mouthpiece Global TImes are the only ones to make such a comment, despite Admiral Harris' decades of service to his country.
