Antonio Conte Reveals: How Arsene Wenger Snubbed My Offer In 2015

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has revealed how Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger turned down his offer to be part of their training sessions in 2015.

The Italian boss was the head of the Italian national team in 2015 and decided to have to tour of the big clubs in the Premier League, visiting the training grounds of major clubs such as Chelsea, West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspurs but revealed Arsenal did not allow him because they were ‘busy’ at the time of the season.

Conte said: ‘Honestly, I tried to contact Arsenal during my experience in England when I visited Chelsea, West Ham and Tottenham, but in that moment they were very busy and for this reason [I could not watch a training session],

‘I saw when they lost at home to Monaco in the Champions League, but I didn’t have the opportunity to see Wenger during a training session.

‘I would’ve liked it, but it wasn’t possible.’

Antonio Conte arrived at Chelsea last summer and has had a tremendous season with the Blues, winning the Premier League in his first season and could win a second trophy if he manages to beat Arsenal in the FA Cup final at Wembley stadium on Saturday.
